2. What type of family is your family (how many persons and who
are they)?
Nuclear family. Sofie lives with her mom, dad, brother and two
beloved and missed cats.
3. Are you married?
No
4. Do you have a boy/girl-friend (and are you planning to marry
him/her)?
No, Sofie is a single girl. She says that nice boys don't hang on
the threes.
5. What is your hobby?
Sofie used to make lots of sports like soccer, handball and
acrobatics. She likes to hang out with friends, go to concerts,
watch
movies, walk in the nature, bicycle, work out and skiing. She also
loves animals.
6. How do you spend a normal day at home?
Gets up mostly at 8 am. Takes a shower and eats breakfast. Then
she bicycles to her work( 3 different kindergartens). She is of
work at 4 or 5 in the afternoon. In the evenings she spends time
with her friends, reads or watches TV. Then she goes to bed
between 10 and 12 pm.
7. What type of area is your hometown in (geography, density,
climate)?
Climate: Tempered climate. Not too cold and not too hot.
8. Are you studying?
No she is working in a kindergarten. Sofie is having a one or two
years break from the studies. She wants to get some experiences
and enjoy her youth during this time. Sofie is planning to study
biology in the future.
9. How many kids would you like to have? How would the perfect
future look to you?
Sofies view on a perfect future is to get a good education, good
carrier, children, she would like to have 3 children two boys and
one girl, a nice husband (Who loves kids), lots of animals and to
have a garden. wants a happy life with lots of joy. And that she
and everyone she loves stay healthy.
10. How did you like the YCP?
Sofie liked it a lot. She has learned a lot about herself and
Nepal. She has met many nice people and seen many beautiful
things.
11. What is the best and worst thing about YCP?
Best: The social life
Worst: Frustrations that come with intercultural cooperation, but
we worked it out.
12. What influence do you think the YCP will have on your future
life?
Big influence. She will never forget it. The program has given her
a lot. But she does not think she will really realize the
influence until she gets home.
13. What would the reaction be (from your community) after you
return from YCP?
They will be very interested, and ask many questions. There were
so many doubts about the program before we left. It was a very
frustrating time because nobody knew if we were going to Nepal at
all.
