The story
behind the logo

Who are we?

JPP staff are mainly farmers, or sons & daughters of farmers from local villages in its working areas of Jajarkot, Surkhet, Banke (Nepalganj) & Kathmandu districts (see map).

In total there are some 120 staff, roughly 50% are women and 30% are ôlow casteö. 24 are FarmersÆ Leaders who are part time. Not included in this figure are the leaders of the village groups, numbering over 50. Plus, each group has a secretary & treasurer, and then members ranging from 5 to 35 in number. At the last count there were over 600 members of the group, again roughly 50% male:female.

Finally, they are 3 expatriates currently working with the JPP on a full time basis: one Welshman, a Dane and an USamerican.
