Cooperation with MS

Main objectives of partnership:
To strengthen the institutional capacity of JPP as a local based
NGO, so that it can achieve its overall objective of empowering
the rural farmers-men, women and young children, making them
sustainable by means of community development through publication
of non-formal education materials, conducting non-formal literacy
classes and training.

Long term partnership documentation
A tripartite Early Partnership Agreement/ Document has been
developed and signed by JPP, Action Aid Nepal and MS Nepal. MS
supports JPP with a Danish Development Worker in order to develop
NFE materials and some funds for soft-ware programme costs of
DKK62000.00 where as Action Aid Nepal supports the partnership
programme costs of DKK50000.00 for the technical inputs.

Concrete description of the joint partnership activities:
Agriculture - including Food production - livestock production
- fisheries
The main activities of the partnership are:
writing of technical booklets to teach topics such as low input
and sustainable agriculture (LEISA) techniques (use of green
manures, intercropping, planting for diversity, mulching etc.)
operating primary schools to integrating environmental issues in
children's learning process by teachers at JPP schools in Gumi.
running of practical NFE classes for farmers, capacity building of
the organization and advocacy and networking.

Improvement of living conditions and opportunities of poor
people

Both rural and urban
Description of beneficiaries targeted by the joint activities:
Agriculturalists -
Farmers and/of from farming families, from barely literate men,
women and youg children are direct beneficiaries of the tripartite
partnership programme activities .
