Examples of activities carried out under the FCD partnership in 2003

• Training of local communities in fish farming and delivery of fish seedlings to farmers

• Ensuring various media coverage of FDC activities to promote fish ponds as a sustainable source of food and income for poor and marginalized people

• Contacts with Dansk Dambruger Forening (Association of Danish Fish Farmers) and Danmarks Fiskeriundersøgelser (Danish Fisheries Research)

• Training of FDC staffs in general planning, training of trainers and transfer of knowledge in fish farming

• Study tour to Andhra Pradesh in India to study fish farming techniques and to conduct workshops for farmers and other people involved in fish farming
