Main objectives of partnership:
To improve women's self-reliance, awareness and abilities and thereby improve the living conditions of poor rural women and their families.

The partnership intervention programme objective is to uplift and empower the rural women and make them self-reliant through literacy, legal literacy, income generation and training.

Partnership documentation at present:
Early partnership documentation

Present agreement signed:
A 2 year early partnership agreement/ document has been signed in January 1999.

Present agreement expires:
December 2000

Concrete description of the joint partnership activities:
Organizational development -
Basic literacy, legal literacy/ awareness raising on women sensitization about their rights and development, income generation activities through saving and credit mobilization and organizational capacity building.

Which MS principles or approaches are directly reflected:
Improvement of living conditions and opportunities of poor people

Location of activities:
Rural

Description of beneficiaries targeted by the joint activities:
Most of the beneficiaries are female

Appr. how many inviduals will benefit:
Between 100 and 1000
Approx 600 poor women will benefit from the partnership programme.
