The
placement of Danish DWs in Nepal is a major component of the
MS-Nepal program, and, preparations recruitment, management and
monitoring of this part of the program is carried out in
cooperation with partners to the general satisfaction of all
partners.
MS makes 4
types of personnel assistance available:
Long-term
DWs-skilled and experienced on a 1-5 year contract;
Short-term
DWs-skilled and experienced (normally from previous postings
abroad) on a 1-6 months contract;
Rainbow
Volunteers-pilot programme for young Danes with relevant
background but with little practical experience on a 3-12 months
contract in the areas of agriculture, health or environment;
Work Camp
Participants-mainly
young unskilled Danes on a contract to 1-3 months for stay living
and working with the local community to promote voluntary
development work and cultural exchange.

Essentially,
three roles have been conceived for the DWs:
1.
Operational role-based on the objectives and, activities and plans
of the partnership and considering the specific qualifications of
the DW, stated and defined in the job description, including
technical roles and skills.
2. Political
role-in implementing MS policies in the daily dialogue with the
partner including participation in programme development through
PAB and meeting representations and electoral activities.
3.
Informative role-information, solidarity and linkage work.
